Dr. Pushpa Raj Rajkarnikar, chairman of IPRAD, has participated Asia Pacific Trade Economist's Conference (22-23 September, 2014) organized by ESCAP in Bangkok Thailand . He also participated Seminar on Aid for Trade and South-Asia Value Chains held on 24 September,2014 in Bangkok by ARNeT.

Senior Economist of WB visited on IPRAD
Swarmin Wagle, Senior economist of the World Bank, Washinton, USA visited at IPRAD office on May 2, 2014 and discussed on the issues of Foreign Investment Policy of Nepal with Chairman of IPRAD, Dr. Pushpa Raj Rajkarnikar and Secretary Mr. Dilli Ram Upreti jointly. Both parties felt that they were benefited from the discussion.
Institute for Policy Research and Development (IPRAD) Organized an interaction program
Institute for Policy Research and Development (IPRAD) Organized an interaction program on Paush 19,2070, on the issue of "Aagami Sarkarko Aarthik Marga Chitra ( Economic Roadmap of Upcoming Government)". Program was presided by Dr. Pushpa Raj Rajkarnikar chairman of IPRAD. In the same occasion Mr. Ramesh Chandra Paudel had presented a paper for the discussion. More than 30 participants including planners, businessmen and industrialists and economists participated the program. Among others, the participants strongly voiced in need of minimum common economic policy and program. They also urged to implement them honestly.

1.Dr. Pushpa Raj Rajkarnikar , chairman IPRAD, participated in Asia Pacific Trade Facilitation Forum and ARNeT seminar on "Future Research Agenda" in Beijing, China on Trade Facilitation for Inclusive Growth held on 10-12 September, 2013.
National Stakeholders Consultation Meeting
National Stakeholders Consultation Meeting on Business Process Analysis for Agricultural Trade Facilitation was held on April 5, 2013 in Kathmandu. The event was jointly organized by UNESCAP, MOCS, IPRAD and SATNET. Chief guest Mr. Toya Narayan Gyawali, joint Secretary MOCS gave opining statement, while Mr. Khan Salehin from UNESCAP, Mr. Shanker Prasad Pandey of FNCCI and Dr. Pushpa Raj Rajkarnikar, chairman of IPRAD gave opening remarks. A technical paper was presented by Mr. Dilli Ram Upreti, the national consultant. The technical session was moderated by Dr. Rajkarnikar.
Round table discussion on Political Transition, Plan and Development Held
A Round table discussion on "political transition plan and development" was organized by IPRAD on March 29, 2013 under the chairmanship of Dr. Pushpa Raj Rajkarnikar , chairman of IPRAD. An agenda for discussion was presented by Dr .Bhim Prasad Neupane , vice chairman, IPRAD.Altogether 18 intellectuals spoke on agenda from different angles. Most of them viewed that in transition time; plan should be formulated as a consensus document of all political parties and should be implemented honestly.
Visit of Alen Stern
Ms Alen Stern, project manager AidData visited IPRAD on Feb 24, 2013 and discussed on issues of creating Aid-Data base at appropriate disaggregate level. She also highlighted on objectives of Aid Data. Before this Dr. Pushpa Raj Rajkarnikar , chairman of IPRAD , welcomed her and briefed her about the IPRAD. Secretary Mr Dilli Ram Upreti, Treasurer Ms Indira Shrestha and members Dr. Govinda Nepal, and Mr Keshav Acharya were also present in the discussion. They raised various pertinent issues of foreign aid and data management.

IPRAD organized a seminar on Promoting Inclusive Trade and Investment in Kathmandu on November 27, 2013. On the same occasion "Asia-Pacific Trade and Investment Report 2013." , published by UNESCAP was launched by Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada Governor of NRB. The program was held on the chairmanship of Dr. Pushpa Raj Rajkarnikar , chairman of IPRAD. Senior economist Keshav Pd. Acharya presented a report in the program.
